Description

This class dives into the mechanics of humor and how it can be intentionally developed. We will discuss what makes people laugh, what stops us from being funny, and how humor can bring people together. You’ll practice sharing your own funny perspectives, explore what’s appropriate vs. inappropriate, and reflect on how humor plays a role in your life (personally, socially, professionally). The goal is to improve your English fluency, especially conversational and expressive skills, while thinking deeply about humor as an art and a tool.
You will:
Practice expressing your point of view in humorous ways


Use vocabulary about comedy, performance, emotion, perception


Discuss cultural differences in what people find funny


Reflect on fears or barriers to using humor


Share experiences where humor helped or didn’t
