Talk 4 Impact stands with Orphans in Africa,
Happy moments and Sad moments

Happy moments and Sad moments

Conversation - A1-A2 | Beginner Level

Description

This session invites participants to reflect on the rhythms of their lives and the ways in which happiness and sadness weave through our days, weeks, and years. We often think of emotions as spontaneous and unpredictable, yet many of our feelings are closely linked to the patterns of time: a sunrise that lifts our spirits, a Sunday evening that feels heavy, or a birthday that brings both joy and nostalgia.

Together, we will explore the moments when happiness feels most natural—perhaps the first sip of morning coffee, a Friday afternoon filled with anticipation, or the warmth of holiday gatherings. At the same time, we will acknowledge the more difficult points in the calendar: the grayness of a midweek slump, the loneliness that can settle on certain nights, or the bittersweet feelings that anniversaries and year-end reflections often stir.

By sharing personal experiences, we will discover the similarities and differences in how we move through time emotionally. What might be a peak of joy for one person could feel like a valley of sadness for another, and these contrasts can open our eyes to the diversity of human experience.

This conversation is not about judgment but about recognition—recognizing the everyday rhythms that shape our emotional lives and, perhaps, finding new ways to embrace them. Participants are encouraged to bring openness and curiosity, and to reflect on their own “emotional calendar.”

Whether you come to celebrate your happiest moments, to give voice to the harder ones, or simply to listen, this session offers a space for connection, empathy, and deeper understanding of how time itself influences our well-being.
